The 3/2009 edition of the Swiss Review of Business and Financial Market Law features an article on the Swiss way of SEPA participation from a legal perspective. In order to be able to participate in the SEPA schemes, Swiss financial institutions had to provide evidence that the provisions of the Payments Services Directive (PSD) are implemented in Switzerland either by statutory law or based on a substantially equivalent binding practice.
