The EPC specifications form the basis of the Swiss SEPA direct debit guidelines. Since November 2010, the EPC guidelines based on ISO 20022 Maintenance Release 2009 (SEPA Core Direct Debit Scheme Customer-to-Bank Implementation Guidelines v4.0) are valid.
This document contains instructions for the technical implementation of the ISO 20022 “Customer Direct Debit Initiation” message (pain.008) as well as the corresponding "Customer Payment Status Report" status message (pain.002).
