Electronic BC Index

The electronic BC Index is an extract of the centrally operated SIX Interbank Clearing master data service ("Stammdatenservice" - SDS), a databank which is updated daily. It is available until further notice free of charge.

It is available in form of a PC module (electronic offline index), primarily for the use as a quick-reference tool for bank clearing (BC) numbers via search functions such as the search criteria BC number, name of financial institution, localities, etc. In addition to the BC number, it lists the financial institution's headquarters and other branches, labeled accordingly. Only valid data can be queried with the BC Index. Concatenations, indirect participants and technical BC numbers are not shown.

The electronic BC Index is primarily intended for installation by customers and banks with no direct Internet access at their workplace and who are unable to make use of our online "Inquiry BC number" service.
